Recently I heard from a client who was extremely upset about an encounter she had with a paranormal group who investigated in her home. She called this group because strange things were going on in her new home. Shadow figures, unexplained noises, strange voices and objects being misplaced only to be found in odd places.
She decided to look on facebook for a group in the area that could help her and her family. The most important thing to her and her family is that the investigation and it's findings, if any, remain confidential. Once she found a group she spoke with one of the investigator's and set up a time for them to investigate her home. She said she regretted not researching the group more. They came to her home, set up their equipment and proceeded to "investigate." She heard two of the investigator's using foul language, they were laughing and joking with one another and being extremely unprofessional. At one point she went into the master bedroom to find one of the investigator's propped up on her bed with his shoes on. During the course of the evening many other things happened that left the client feeling angry.
If you want a group to come in to investigate your home or business make sure of the following;
-Ask to speak with previous clients.
-Get a promise of confidentiality in writing.
-Interview the group, ask questions. Make sure they know what they are doing.
-Ask if they charge a fee for their services. Most groups do not charge a fee.
-Make sure they do not insist that you leave your home. They can investigate with you there.
These are just a few things that can help to protect you and your family. Remember, you are inviting strangers into your home.Make sure you investigate them before allowing them to investigate for you!
